Eligibility requirements for Medicaid programs were also expanded to include individuals that earn up to 116% of the federal poverty level.

Providing dental benefits to children on Medicaid: The Deamonte Driver Project – established by the O’Malley-Brown administration – breaks through bureaucratic red tape and allows dental hygienists to provide a full array of services at public health clinics.

Closing the Medicare Prescription Drug Donut Hole: With the help of a public-private partnership, Gov. O’Malley and Lt. Gov. Brown have made sure that elderly Marylanders can afford the prescription drugs that they need.
