GOVERNOR O'MALLEY
Moving Forward

FULLY SUPPORTS THE PURPLE & RED LINES

Governor O’Malley has put together a plan to move forward with the Purple and Red lines—projects that will create thousands of jobs, spur economic development and connect our communities.

INVESTMENTS IN MARC COMMUTER RAIL

Governor O’Malley has made strategic investments in the MARC commuter rail system. Under his direction, the state has purchased 26 new high-power, low-emission diesel locomotives and 13 additional high-capacity, bi-level passenger cars.

NEW JOBS AT THE PORT OF BALTIMORE

Under Governor O’Malley, 5,700 new jobs are coming to the Port of Baltimore due to a successful public-private partnership to construct a 50-foot berth at Seagirt Marine Terminal.

BOB EHRLICH

OPPOSES MASS TRANSIT

Bob Ehrlich recently confessed that if given a second chance, he will abandon plans for the Purple and Red lines setting transit and economic development back decades.

CUTS TO MARC

If it weren’t for the intervention of the General Assembly and local governments, Bob Ehrlich would have cut bus service to transit-dependent populations in Baltimore and closed MARC stations in Central Maryland.
