Lt. Gov. Nominee Anthony Brown in Town

HAGERSTOWN, MD- There are just five weeks to go until the general election. Two democratic hopefuls were in western Maryland on Tuesday.

Martin O’Malley’s running mate in the race for governor, Delegate Anthony Brown joined congressional candidate Andrew Duck for stops in Frederick and Hagerstown.

The two toured downtown with Senator Barbara Mikulski. The trio spoke with several small business owners. Brown said he and O’Malley will fight for quality jobs, healthcare and education.

He also adds that small businesses are the backbone of the economy and whether he’s elected or not, he plans to help them continue to expand.

“We do that by giving them the tools, which is a qualified work force, and also give them the opportunity to expand in an environment where we’re not overburdening them with regulations,â€? said Lt. Gov. nominee Anthony Brown.

While in Frederick they stopped by and talked to senior about their health care needs. Before leaving town the three also spoke with Iraqi and Afghan vets to find out what their health care challenges are.
