Ehrlich’s New Anti-Transit Plan: Bad for Jobs, Bad for Business, Bad for Taxpayers

In case you missed today's Baltimore Sun Article, Bob Ehrlich showed just how out of touch he is by announcing that he would kill the Red and Purple Line projects. These projects moving forward under Governor O'Malley would create thousands of construction jobs in Maryland, relieve gridlock on our roads, and attract new businesses to the region.

Bob Ehrlich says the projects cost too much money, but business groups throughout Maryland are blasting Bob Ehrlich's non-plan as an economic development killer. Jim Dinegar, the head of the Greater Washington Board of Trade told the Baltimore Sun that he was "scratching my head" over whether the former governor had come to Montgomery to win votes or lose them.

And according to the Sun article today, Bob Ehrlich's non-transit plan to put more buses on our already overcrowded roads would actually cost the state more money. Where's the logic in that?

We already know that Bob Ehrlich wants to take Maryland back, but Bob Ehrlich's anti-transit plan is just plain bad...bad for jobs, bad for business, and bad for taxpayers."
