Ehrlich’s in

Well, it's official: Bob Ehrlich just announced he'll be my opponent in the race for governor this year.

He says he wants to "Take Back Maryland," but what he really wants is to take us back – back to the days when special interests always got their way. Back to the days of record spending with zero accountability. Back to the days when middle class families took a backseat to giant corporations.

We can't afford to go back. Not at this critical time. Despite the global economic recession, we've made real progress in Maryland. The nation's best public schools, the lowest crime rates in 25 years, affordable college education and one of the nation's most fiscally responsible budgets.

We cannot let Bob Ehrlich take us backward. Please help us grow our campaign, right now. Invite five friends to join us.

Bob Ehrlich wants to capitalize on the national environment. He wants to capitalize on the Tea Party anger. He wants to jump at this opportunity to get his old job back.

We can't let him.

Four years ago, Ehrlich gave us a tough fight. We beat him by working together, because we knew Maryland could do better and be better.

We were right. And we can keep making progress for the state we love, for years to come – but only if we all suit up for this new fight, starting today.
