Debate

Today, O'Malley-Brown campaign manager, Tom Russell released the following statement regarding the Gubernatorial debates:

"Bob Ehrlich is losing momentum in this campaign because he represents the past and is recognized as the biggest spender in Maryland history.  Governor O'Malley looks forward to a robust debate on how we continue to move Maryland forward and was the first to propose debates in April.  Bob Ehrlich ignored that challenge and declined our invitation.

We will be happy to debate whoever is the Republican nominee after the primary.   Our campaign has already agreed to participate in debates hosted by the Washington Post, the Baltimore Jewish Council, WJZ-TV, WMAR-TV, WTOP Radio and others.  We look forward to meeting with the Ehrlich campaign should he win the Republican primary to work out the details of these debates; and a round of debates and appearances with Lt. Governor Brown and Mary Kane."
